Recent dowload to Mac, 'Could not get an assignment'

Hi all,

I downloaded Folding@home yesterday to my iMac (mid-2010, 3.6GHz Intel i5). The client seems unable to connect and download WUs. I am using the default settings. The log reads:

Is there a setting I need to adjust to get this to connect?

Also, is there a way to set a preference for WUs for specific conditions?

Your setup looks okay from what I see there, you may just be running into problems getting a WU due to the heavy server load as described here - viewtopic.php?f=24&t=33193. You may just need to wait a bit. I do know that more CPU is being added and moving out of beta testing, see announcements here - viewforum.php?f=24.

Also, is there a way to set a preference for WUs for specific conditions?

The client has a setting for some diseases, and Any. Currently all COVID-19 are going out under Any, with a higher priority set on the server side. Adding a specific option for it would take updating the software, an effort that would take quite a while to do and test before releasing. They are using the developer resources available to add more servers and keep things going instead.
