Client doesn't get work asigned

Post by DatafoxChris »

My system has been running for years. Now it doesn't get work assigned. Is there a problem ?

Nope, just sporadic temporary shortages of work units due to the increased participation in the past three weeks. The client will keep trying to get work, with increasing intervals between the retries. You can also pause the client and unpause it to attempt to get work immediately although this must be used as a last resort when you haven't received work for several hours, as it adds to the load that the servers are currently facing.

I got that message more than 10h per day on three machines. The WUs are done in 2-3h and then waiting for 3-6h. How can i "force" using WUs to calculate?
tbh, Pause is only an option to restart the same procedure.... waiting...

Welcome to the F@H Forum Holger,

Please note that since the F@H Servers are under significant load (viewtopic.php?f=106&t=33193), waiting is expected. You can pause/unpause the slot after the waiting time is few hours. That way, you're not contributing to the problem (servers unable to accept new connections, servers unable to generate new WUs, etc) but instead be part of the solution (waiting for the servers to be functional).
