Assigned to work server 192.0.2.1

Post by M&M&M »

Hello.
Recently I installed FAH v7.5.1 on a Windows. It seems all to run OK, but I see in the log there is a connection error to an unknown address 192.0.2.1.

17:04:24:WU01:FS01:Connecting to 65.254.110.245:8080
17:04:24:WU01:FS01:Assigned to work server 192.0.2.1

<----- This means there were a connection timeout.

In the Status window there are configured:
- Work server = 40.114.52.201
- Collection server = 52.224.109.74

I searched the address 192.0.2.1 in the configuration and other files, and I didn't found it.

Is this correct? Should I to ingnore these messages?

The log.txt file contains this system info description:

Getting assigned to work server 192.0.2.1 (a non-existent address) is often a sign that your GPU is not supported. The GeForce 7300 LE doesn't support OpenCL & probably doesn't have 64 bit floating point either, so it isn't going to be able to fold; it's just too old to have the necessary features.

Hello, jonault.
Yes, my computer is 16 years old, but it runs as well as the first day I bought it. And I need no more...
Then, I should understand FAH runs properly for the CPU, and not for the GPU...
Ok. Thanks a lot.
Have a nice day.

The 7300 LE is old enough that it is not programmable, no one can load F@H into it.
This does not mean it is not a good graphics card, only that that is all it is, it can't be a F@H participant.
