Folding@home uninstaller almost cleared my hard drive

Postby FiftySerial » Mon Apr 20, 2020 1:10 am

I uninstalled folding@home directly through the uninstaller at the folding@home folder and when it got rid of folding@home the bar that shows how much progress has been made got stuck around the end and it started uninstalling other files. I don't understand what I did wrong and has this happened to anyone else before?
Edit: New version has it fixed now

Welcome to Folding@Home!

[This is my best guess, but it is just a guess]

When you install F@H, you can override the express install and chose a different location for F@H's files. When you uninstall, it will delete all the files in that location.

I strongly encourage using the express install.

Please note that the latest release, 7.6.9 should have fixed that bug: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=34466
