Hello all!
I'm pleased to announce FAHControl for Android, a simple (and free) app to control your F@H clients from an Android device. I searched Google Play for such a utility but couldn't find any, so I wrote this app. You can download it here:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... fahcontrol

It requires ICS or better, but is optimized for Lollipop & M devices. The goal of this app was to provide an experience roughly equal to the desktop version of FAHControl, but for Android. Among the things you can do in this app are:

- Monitor multiple clients
- Start or pause folding slots
- View detailed client status, including points per day (PPD)
- View detailed folding simulation status, with convenient links to Folding@Home web content
- Password authentication

All feedback and feature requests are greatly appreciated. Enjoy!

I keep getting a "failed parsing client reply" error message. Any logging I could send?

Opening the URL to read about the google play app on WIndows says "This app is compatible with your device."
Somehow I suspect it's NOT compatible with Windows 7.

It is talking about whatever devices you have linked to your google account, not the computer you are browsing the page from.

I also had to smile when I read that on my iPad

Fair and true enough, but easy to overlook (specially for me as a not-often-android-user)

Well, the Android device I'd like to use is a Samsung tablet. It's always within WiFi range, so logically, I should be able to use it. I tried installing it from the browser on the tablet and it said the device had no carrier. :( Just for kicks I went back to Windows and it said it could install it and apparently it did. Is there any way I can use this app? Can it be adapted for a WiFi connected tablet?

This seems to work well for me after the last update. I'm connecting from an android tablet to both window 7 and Ubuntu based clients. Only problem now is the windows gpu gives a core type of UNKNOWN_ENUM. Any way to provide logs or other info?

I have a Nexus 7 (2013) tablet (running Android 5.1.1) and downloaded the app from the google play store. I noticed the app automatically updated a couple days ago, so I opened to check the status. I don't really understand your comment about "the device had no carrier", but I didn't have any issues and the app install was rather straightforward. One thing to note, be sure your Remote Access is set accordingly for your FAH client. On my first attempt at using the app, I didn't realize my tablet's wifi IP was out of the range I had allowed for FAH.

Update here. So my phone, a Samsung Galaxy S4 running Android 4.4.4, will not connect to my clients. I thought I just hadn't set the IP range correctly, but that's not the case. I'll uninstall and try a couple things then report back.

My Samsung tablet is still being told by google_play that it's incompatible with my hardware. Should I complain to Sony or to Samsung?
