I think the message that HFM doesn't like is probably the one where the client is complaining that no CUDA library is found (see in System tab of Advanced Control) ... it doesn't like the French version of the message, so I guess the German one is also using specific characters.

I have data for about 2400 GPU work units and 3000 CPU work units. Anyone want that export now?

HFM requires an urgent update to support ARM client and Intel iGPUs folding ...

I'm noticing that my main rig which runs HFM monitoring across 8 slots over 5 systems is noticeably slower at folding than my other similar systems. Turning off HFM boosts the performance significantly. Anyone else noticing this? I accept that an i5-4570 isn't the most powerful cpu these days but the machine folds on a dedicated GPU using the onboard 4570's iGPU for the main display.

The msi version of HFM[ from github Harlem] was blocked by win10 as harmful.
The zip version was virus checked ok -but I first wanted to get your comments here before using.
I recall using HFM years back- and just wanted to revisit it.

Microsoft can declare anything as harmful (except products that they, themselves, sell). There's not much we can do about it.

I use hfm.net.

HFM copies the logs from remote clients periodically to observe what has happened since the last copy was obtained. How that affects performance depends on the number and sizes of those files. Restarting the remote client occasionally will rename the old file and create a fresh one.

Actually iirc MS blocked installation of a certain enterprise package a few years back - shortly after they had acquired it and were doing the rounds marketing it - the corporate sales rep was somewhat embarrassed :)

It was about the same time as they were pushing an application streaming suite to be used for serving ms office they had also acquired when the ms office license categorically stated that it wasn't licensed for use in application served environments :) ... wasnt their finest hour tbh though great fun pointing it out to the executive grades hosting the event

Sounds about right for MS! Thanks for comments.

I guess it's only affecting the CPU slot of the machine that runs HFM ... it happens when the logs of the monitored clients grow ... and it gets worse with a lot of monitored clients.

I don't run CPU slot on the machine that hosts HFM (it would be useless with an i7 920), but if you want to restore the situation, you'll have to restart the FAH clients periodically to clear the logs ...

The main HFM collector isn't running a CPU slot (in fact none of my machines are) but it's only a i5-2470 so not the fastest. The logs of the remote machines can get pretty big I suppose as it's not uncommon for them to be left running for months between reboots. And I've got a machine with a GTX970 processing circa 15 units a day so those logs will be huge I suspect.
