All the fah links get redirected, Learn, Install, etc. I've already reported these in another thread.

I just visited the 'Download Utilities' page. The Recommended software (based on information furnished by my browser) pointed me to Linux. I'm running Waterfox on Win 7.

I get the same recommendation for Linux utilities on that page. Browser is Safari running on OS X 10.6.8.

Edit to add website:

That would be http://folding.stanford.edu/home/download-utilities/. I get the same result at work on my PC running Windows and using the Firefox browser, possibly the OS detect is not running at all on that page.

Can you please provide the URL of the page that is giving you the incorrect V7 version? I am using Cyberfox (a 64-bit variant of Firefox) and I get the correct recommendation of Windows when I visit these pages and click on Start Folding:
http://folding.stanford.edu/home/the-software/
http://folding.stanford.edu/

EDIT -> Okay, I tested with Internet Explorer 10, Firefox Aurora 25.0a2 (2013-08-21) and Cyberfox 23.0.1 and in all, I get the same Linux recommendation when visiting this page (http://folding.stanford.edu/home/download-utilities/). Seems to me that it might be a broken or deprecated functionality.

Well, this might be coincidence, but it does correctly offer Linux downloads for me in both Chrome and Firefox under Linux Mint 14.

The Configuration Guide still works off of pre-7.3.6 FAHControl, in particular referencing the Novice/Advanced/Expert display modes.

We're still primarily in the fixing problems and mistakes mode, not so much in updating content. But yes, that comes next. ;)

Still an issue for me. I opened tabs for StressCPU, MemtestCL, & FAHBench. There are no recommendations for me anymore, but Linux is still the first listing and it's a different color.
I don't know much, but if it were me, I would ditch the automated detection and simply list the binaries by OS. Windows, OSX, & Linux users know who they are.

Also: The memtest addition is great. I wish I'd had this before. Thanks PG!

It was originally made for a scientific publication: http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/xpl/articleD ... er=5493404

Not the same issue at all. There is no hardware detection happening. The available tools are simply grouped by operating system in alphabetical order. L comes before W.

Interesting. Thanks for the fix. Why don't we list the Windows editions first, since that's the most common OS?

Feel free to change it. I have no preference for which one is listed first.

On this page, you might want to make a note in bigadv that it's only for Linux right now.

Note the last edit date on the bottom of that guide page. Updating the Config Guide is my current project of choice in my spare time. But a big Q4 project just landed on my desk at work, so spare time just got reduced to lunch breaks. ;)
