No projects since 1/25

Post by neomaine »

My office was on the cool side which means I hadn't folded in awhile. :-) Logs show I haven't seen any new work since 1/25. Something wrong on my end?

Thanks....

Welcome to the folding support forum.

The servers are active and supplying work to others, so it probably is something on your end. You can help by providing information about your system and its folding setup. The most useful way is to post the beginning section of your log file as described in the Welcome Topic. If there are errors shown in connection to attempts to download new WU's, post a section of log with examples of those errors as well.

I really couldn't find anything, just that it wasn't downloading new work. Not that it's my favorite fix, but restarted my pc to see what would happen. Looks that cleared up whatever was going. The log now shows the new work is downloading.

There's an open bug in FAHClient whereby if it detects an internet interruption it does not reset the connection and retry. I'm trying to determine if it has been fixed in the latest beta version of FAHClient.

Rebooting (or restarting FAHClient) fixes it (temporarily?) but you shouldn't have to do that. This is only a problem for those of us who have an ISP with marginal reliability.
