Issue with launching and when I click fold

That appears to be part of the Intel OpenCL run time package. F@H does not need that package and is often confused by it, as it does need OpenCL packages by AMD or, in your case, Nvidia.

If you determine that nothing else you do needs it, here is how to remove it.

It does fold using the gpu tho. I recently installed new drivers. Should I reinstall?

I reinstalled the drivers from gf experience and same issue.

I would probably reinstall and restart FAHClient. The client configures itself during the inintial installation and probably the drivers were not present at that time. I'm not sure if that makes a fundamental difference and since it's apparently working it may not matter.

I will reinstall because overnight when i was folding it seems to stop and displayed the a "bad image" error

Did you uninstall the intel driver per the instructions noted above?

Please post a new copy of the log. Does the new log also say "not configured" about a page from the top?

If you're comfortable mucking with the registry, the easiest thing to do is to modify:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Khronos\OpenCL\Vendors (for 64-bit applications)

or

These registry keys should contain one REG_DWORD value for each OpenCL platform. If you change the REG_DWORD value for a platform from 0 to 1 then that platform will no longer enumerate. The nice thing about this method is that if you change your mind, you can re-enable the platform by simply changing the value from 1 back to 0.

You are probably on 64 bit. I would save the registry first, just in case. (Khronos is the organization that standardizes OpenCL)

First, if at any time it looks wrong, stop; the Windows Registry is not forgiving.
Copy the word Khronos

In the start menu is Windows Administrative Tools, in that is Registry Editor; click that.
It will ask you if you want this application to make changes, you click yes
First thing, lets export the good registry you have now. You want to be able to get back to 'before' It takes a while.
Click Edit and Find.. then paste the above text. click find next It may take some time to find that text.
when you click on Khronos you see OpenCL. When you click on OpenCL you see Vendors, click on it.

i see an REG_DWORD named IntelOpenCL64.dll the data is 0x00000000 double click on the name and change the value data to 1 click ok.

now you exit in the file menu. if that does not help after a reboot, you can change it back to 0.

(You will notice that you did not Save, one of the reasons the Registry Editor is dangerous is that all changes take effect as you type them! Errant keystrokes can be deadly to the PC)

bruce asked me to find a fix that did not involve adding or uninstalling software, I confess that while I edit items in the registry a lot, I was leery of telling others how. I guess it shows. Sorry.

(Is this where I say I do not have 40 years of computer experience, but one year of computer experience 40 times in a row? So much you accumulate is not needed later. There is little reason to go into the Editor in Win 10.)
