Good morning,

I would like to participate and be able to collaborate through my team 261556. However, despite of uninstalls, CPU remove and add, it is still stuck at ready state.

Try to start at attempt but immediatly fail as interrupted. See typical log feedback :

Can you please post your log file. Ensure that you have copied the System configuration which is present at the start of the log file: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=26036

Due to a need for an updated or missing library, the minimum version for OS X to run the CPU folding core is 10.7 from what I last heard from the developer. Originally it was usable back to OS 10.6.8, but patching a bug last Fall the developer tools available only would go back to 10.7.

So if you can upgrade to 10.7 or later, folding should work on your CPU.

Apple long ago abandoned a lot of good hardware, that's stuck at 10.6.8... my own included.

Unfortunatey no. The development system had been upgraded at some point to insure compatibility with later OS X versions as I understand it, and the updated version of the folding core when it was compiled could not be done for 10.6.8.

So the client itself still runs on 10.6.8, and FAHControl could be used to monitor other systems remotely. But the folding core needed to actually process a WU does not run.

ok, so, good excuse to pull any useful files off that old mac, and install Ubuntu 19... got it.
(copying now, 35 mins to go)

It's a 4 processor mac pro, if I remember whart's inside this monster chassis... so we'll see how that goes.
