I imagine it's a struggle for the scientists to keep the beast fed. Our processors are hungry for science

That's fairly amazing when you think about the fact that all the infrastructure changes had to be made "on the fly". And from the sound of things, there is still plenty of user base to grow that number once all the servers and scientists are ready to feed us more.
Hopefully there will be a lot of lessons learned from all this COVID-19 spread. Once everything is in place, the world will be ready to respond to any computing needs more quickly, and that's a good thing.

The increase in the monthly stats is staggering, and April still has a ways to go!

The production figures for the likes of NVIDIA Saturn V and ec2spot are simply staggering. I just hope they're using renewable power for all that work!

Do note that during the summer in the northern hemisphere, the user base always falls back. So we might have approached the peak performance, or will so soon.BobWilliams757 wrote:That's fairly amazing when you think about the fact that all the infrastructure changes had to be made "on the fly".
