No I even quit the FAH application and opened the log. It still says the same thing that I posted.

Then where did you see the core download error? Have you added any flags to the client? Using -verbosity 9 would help in troubleshooting.

Overall, you're stumping me here on the log problem.

I'm not that worried about losing the project that I had been working on, I would just like to get it working now. If I have to uninstall the program and start from scratch, I will do that. Any other advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The download error is on the bottom left of the display. I will try verbosity 9 as you suggested.

You said the first one finished. Do you know if it uploaded? Normally it won't download a new project or core until the completed unit is uploaded. If the completed one is gone, you can stop the client and delete the work folder and queue.dat file. When you restart after that, it will connect and try to get a new WU. With luck, it won't be the same one that's currently trying to get a new core.

I'm not sure that it uploaded. It says I don't have any WU's finished, but I figured that was because the stats weren't updated. Is there any way to check?

This is where your weird log causes problems. Normally, it would look like this (with -verbosity 9).

Code: Select all

[10:37:42] Trying to send all finished work units
[10:37:42] - Read packet limit of 540015616... Set to 524286976.
[10:37:42] Core found.

[10:37:42] + Attempting to send results
[10:37:42] - Reading file work/wuresults_02.dat from core
[10:37:42] (Read 8061791 bytes from disk)
[10:37:42] Connecting to http://171.64.65.65:8080/
[10:37:42] Working on Unit 03 [January 16 10:37:42]
[10:37:42] + Working ...
[10:37:42] - Calling 'FahCore_82.exe -dir work/ -suffix 03 -cpu 99 -checkpoint 30 -forceasm -verbose -lifeline 1456 -version 600'

[10:37:42] 000 steps (0)
[10:42:10] Posted data.
[10:42:11] Initial: 0000; - Uploaded at ~28 kB/s
[10:42:14] - Averaged speed for that direction ~38 kB/s
[10:42:14] + Results successfully sent
[10:42:14] Thank you for your contribution to Folding@Home.
[10:42:14] + Number of Units Completed: 2
The Stanford stats are updating right now. See if it shows up when it's done.

When I try to add -verbosity 9, it states that it is not valid.

Sorry for the trouble, I feel as if I'm beating my head against the wall.

Edit: Forgot about the quotations, sorry about that

If you're using the shortcut method I linked to, make sure when you add it to the Target line, you enter spacedashverbosityspace9 after the last character already in that line.

I might just delete the work folder and queue.dat file. Maybe I put the computer in hibernation during a bad time before and screwed it all up.

I got the -verbosity 9 in now.

Stanford stats have finished updating. See if you have credit for the WU, then have fun. It's bed time for us old folks.

I don't think it worked, my new WU that finished was my ps3. I'll just try deleting and starting over.

Bed time for me too. Actually that was about an hour ago, but just wanted to get this ironed out. Thanks again.

You said you had a core download error, but it isn't in this log.
... or perhaps you've installed FAH twice and you're looking at the "wrong" copy of FAHlog.txt.
