The whole premise of this topic is faulty.
Just to note that this thread title was changed by a mod. I originally only reported 0% GPU usage and 0% progress on core 11 work units, making no assumptions and drawing no conclusions myself.

At this point I'm gathering information. Projects 5765, 5768, 5770, and 5771: all NTL9 and all from 171.67.108.11,

Any input from anyone else?

Project: 5771 (Run 0, Clone 33, Gen 5273) - Failed to Start

WU failed to start. Just sat idle for hours, if not a full day. I tried to restart twice. Saved the work directory, if you want something else.

GTX 460 - Win 7 64bit, Driver 310.33 with v7.2.9

FahCore 0x11 problems

Both my folding machines have been folding (mostly) fine for several months. Tonight, I took a look at both, and am having issues with FahCore 11.

On the system with a GTX 580, the core won't download. On the other, with a GTX 570, the current wu with core 11 was assigned 40 hours ago, and has unknown ETA/Credit/TPF.

Is there a universal problem, or is it just a coincidence that both my systems are having trouble with the same core? I tend to be reluctant to reset/delete dodgy work, but in this case I'm thinking I may have to/

This is a server-based problem. The Pande Group is aware of it and I think it has already been fixed, though I'd appreciate you looking through your log and finding when the WUs in question were downloaded. You will need to manually delete the WU. More information can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=23033

I'll try to get the relevant part of the logs tomorrow. I deleted the wu that was running, and had to restart FAHCcontrol on the other system. Both now have core 15 work.

See this announcement. There's a pretty good (bad?) chance that if your client happens to need a new assignment while VSP12 is down for maintenance, that you'll get another FahCore_11 assignment and you'll get FahCore_15 again once it's back up. (If you don't need a new WU then, it won't matter.)

Here is my input: I received Core 11 project:5766 run:1 clone:351 gen:16 on November 19 for my GTX 560 Ti. Below you will find two logs from November 19. Finally I deleted the WU and receive now again core 15 WU's.

A bit OT, but today my core 15 was upgraded from v2.22 to the inefficient v2.25. TPF for a 7625 WU increased from average 5:39 min to 7:29 min. Why do they roll out such a crap to the folders who don't want to play beta tester??? Energy is expensive enough and in Germany electricity price will rise by 10 per cent at the minimum as of 2013. I think about to quit folding if Stanford now starts to release inefficient cores. :evil:

My Folidng@Home GPU slot stopped folding again.
Using latest Folding@Home client on Windows 7 64-bit, SP1, Ultimate. Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 videocard by Gigabyte with 2 GB of videoRAM, latest GeForce WHQL/Stable drivers.
Is this maybe caused by new Kepler (real Kepler) cores rollout?

No. Fahcore_11 is an older (GPU2) core, not a kepler core, and probably why it doesn't run.

Deleting the WU may help, but with work server VSP12 offline temporarily today for maintenance, you may not get any other type of WUs.

I deleted the GPU SLOT, then re-added it and it now folds fine again. Please note that my GPU slot (also have a SMP slot) ran fine for several months.
Do we need to delete our GPU slot each 2-3 months? Is there a schedule for this, or does it happen randomly?

This is a known server problem and it will be fixed. The lower priority assignments that are assigned when vsp12 is down for maintenance are incorrect.

It's not random, the cause is clearly understood. Unfortunately it's a second order failure that was only noticed after the first failure occurred. (I'm not sure if "down for planned maintenance" qualifies as a first failure, but I'm calling it that.)

Thanks! However, I have three slots now instead of two - one is that phantom/non-running (0% complete) slot. How do I get rid of that phantom/rogue extra slot?

Click on Start>All Programs>FAHClient>Data Directory>work and delete the folder that WUxx indicates. In this case it would be 00.
