There has been intermittent shortages of work for CPU settings of 1 thread since last Fall. The AS could have assigned this folder to 129.74.246.143 as it lists a minimum CPU setting of 1, but no WU's were available at that time for that number of threads on the WS. Eventually his system should get assigned to a WS with CPU:1 work available, or there might not be any available on any WS.

As for the "401 HTTP UNAUTHORIZED" message, that is normal for the version of the server software running there. Older versions will give a blank page or one with an OK on it.

I'm seing issues with this server, too. I have been for two, maybe three, days. I was suing v7.4.3, but upgraded yesterday to 7.4.4

I tired connecting with my browser, as suggested, and got a "401 / access unauthorized" response. Server logs look okay to my inexpert eye. Connection log;

As I mentioned in my post, there have been shortages of work for assignment to clients set for a single CPU thread. That has not changed in the time since I posted. If you leave the client running as is, eventually you should get a WU assigned. The other option is to change the CPU setting to 2 threads as that opens up additional possibilities for work to be assigned.

Hi,

Ah, right. I failed to grasp the significance of your original statement. Sorry about that. :oops:

I opted for the latter; CPU to two threads, and now have WUs. :biggrin:

Thanks for your help, Joe.
