Um, how long did you wait? 2 minutes, 2 hours...? Did the client eventually try a different server?

About half an hour and no, but if I've interpreted serverstats correctly that's a beta server and I don't have the beta flag set- maybe it's the AS that needs a kick?

I just moved the project on that server to advanced. Try using the advanced flag instead and see if that works. Serverstats is probably taking time to refresh. Thanks!

Seems OK now- I forgot the golden rule for Windows machines… when in doubt, reboot

Same server, picked up a P9201 and is happily crunching.

It's already set to advanced, but whether it was coincidence or something else, a reboot fixed it :)

I would suggest that you update from V7.3.6 to V7.4.4 since V7.4.4 has the ability to connect to a back-up GPU AS while V7.3.6 doesn't (https://folding.stanford.edu/home/new-c ... st-v7-4-0/).

Yes I know, but the backup server is on standby so wouldn't have helped in this case.

I intend to update to 7.4.4 when (if ever :( ) HFM is updated, but although I'll never be able to prove it I suspect that the problem this time was at my end. Jadeshi has indicated some events that may have contributed but when I think about it that machine had been running for about three weeks.

Which, from memory, is about two and a half weeks longer than it's safe to trust a Windows PC without a reboot
