From other messages, including the one above from Joe_H, the fix is to delete and re-install the CPU folding slot using FAHControl (Advanced Control)
@Joe -- from logs posted by others it loops endlessly on core-b0 download failure. The WU never starts and therefore never fails.

Everyone agrees that this does need a permanent fix, even without manual intervention, but I'm not sure your statement is true. I don't remember seeing it happen in V7, but in V6 occasionally the core would report a problem with the WU, re-download the Core, report a problem again, re-download the WU, report a problem again ... and after (i think it was) three tries, move on.

As I said, we need to see the full context.

Sorry, I wrote slightly loosely. In either case it is the FAHClient code that does or should handle the error, but it is still true that if there is no core, the WU is not started. (Except, possibly, for reading its header to determine the core required.) In the end it's a bug, user intervention should not be required, so the precise state of the WU processing is not important ;)

Although a WU for core bo should never have been assigned to windows, it did happen. Both problems have apparently been fixed. If anyone encounters another occurrence, let us know.

I deleted the slot and then re added it. It now seems to be folding but now on core 17. Does core 18 not work on 660 Ti?

Just to cover all options, is there a version of this FAHCore that should go here as well?
