As of a few minutes ago, I now have single CPU core jobs on all four of my computers. Thank you to whomever fixed the issue!

@abravo - There are two approaches to identifying projects or servers that your systems were getting CPU:1 assignments from last month. The first would be to look for entries in the log that identify the project, they would be lines like this at start up of processing:
21:30:16:WU01:FS00:0xa4:Project: 10424 (Run 13517, Clone 0, Gen 15)
Those would be the CPU projects. We already know about Project 10424 and its server as well as Projects 9007-9018, so if you saw any other than those it would be new information.

The other approach is looking for the download messages in the log. The sequence of messages would be similar to this WU request from a log of mine:

Code: Select all

20:56:28:WU00:FS01:Connecting to 171.67.108.200:8080
20:56:29:WU00:FS01:Assigned to work server 171.64.65.124
20:56:29:WU00:FS01:Requesting new work unit for slot 01: RUNNING cpu:4 from 171.64.65.124
20:56:29:WU00:FS01:Connecting to 171.64.65.124:8080
Mine was requesting a WU for a CPU:4 setup, so in your log you should see "...RUNNING cp:1" instead. The IP address of the WS that was assigned is at the end of that line. The two servers already known are 171.64.65.124 and 171.64.65.79.

I have got it up and running the same way I have in previous times. It seems to be working for the time being. Please let me know as soon as this problem arises again. I'm trying to figure out how to reproduce it and will be watching closely to see why it's recurring.

I will let you know as soon as I notice that it is down.

The only way I know to identify a server that has uniprocessor projects is to have it give work to a slot in the client that's configured for CPU:1.

You'll fine a message Enabled folding slot 0x: READY cpu:1 followed by a message saying a WU is being downloaded.
