Is there a problem here that I can fix?

Unfortuately there is nothing you can do to rectify this situation.

A message has been sent to the appropriate person but it's still very early on the west coast so I suspect it may be at least an hour or more before they actually see the message and restart the server/job.

Project 11920 (3497, 0, 125) upload IP 0.0.0.0

Post by rafaug »

Merged with existing topic, problem is with the WS and not the WU

I have been experiencing issues with uploading a workunit for project 11920 (3497, 0, 125). FAHControl says that there were 12 attempts at uploading this WU to the server, however it it listed as 0.0.0.0. The timeout for this WU is going to be in a few hours, so I would like to know if there is a workaround or a way to reconfigure the collection IP.

Thanks!

It's not clear when somebody will be available to restart 171.64.65.41. The WU that's trying to upload will continue to retry and there's really no point in worrying about it. Since the server is down, you won't be assigned any more WUs from that project. Work should continue since your client should get other WUs from other servers.

No, you cannot configure a Collection Server. The project owner needs to do that.

The affected project(s) require a quick return, and all the completed WUs I had sitting in the queue have since been dumped due to timeout. I havn't checked to see if the affected server is back online, but I havn't received any WUs from the affected project(s) since the initial outage (which isn't a huge issue as there are plenty of WUs from other projects to fold).
