Hello,

i finished 2 WUs from this project days ago, but can't send them, it says transfer failed:

https://apps.foldingathome.org/serverstats is showing a low minutes uptime so fingers crossed it might be booting up and configuring and your WU will be uploaded soon.

Sorry was looking at wrong 13. server :( … Hope this one comes up for you soon

Unfortunately yes, points can only be credited when the server has the data, because when it's down, it can't know when your client finished computations.
And if client side metrics were taken, and trusted, the whole points system would be wide open for manipulation.

But trust me, it's happening less and less - or I've just been lucky, only had two WUs "stuck" for about 2h each. Cases vary of course, maybe I was just lucky.

Credits are calculated on the basis of how much science is done. Science/Research can't progress if the Server can't generate the next WU. Hence, the download/upload times are included in the credit calculation to ensure that it aligns with the scientific contribution made.

While things have improved over the last few weeks, more work is in the pipeline to resolve this :)

Mine fell over to a collection server and uploaded there. I just happened to be at the machine at the time so thought I'd report the failure.
