I am unsure how all of this works. I understood that FAH sends credits twice a day, but I have not recieved any credits for the past 3 days. How do I go about trying to find the error and fixing it?

Fah stats update more regularly than twice daily ... I'm going to hazard a guess your not talking about fah points accruing in the official stats but one of the credits that accrue with one on the rewards systems (possibly banano?) - if so you will need to contact the support team for the reward system you are signed up to.

Generally you can check using the wu status app whether individual prcg wus have been received - these may take anywhere from 20mins to an hour or more depending on which work server and the general state of the stats ... much of the official stats updates and the export files used by other bodies such as eoc folding stats and the various reward scheme run on a three hour update cycle.

Currently there is one work server that has a stats blockage and the project running on it (16927 iirc) is not being shown on stats yet ... when it is sorted (which may be weeks) there will be a points update for the delayed stats ... it is possible that your kit may have had a run of wus from this project and so you are seeing any points updates due to that - you can check your logs to see if this is the case.

If you believe you have points missing then check your logs and post the prcg codes for the missing wus and someone will try to get them checked

Welcome to foldingforum.org.

Most likely you can not fix anything.

The stats system is complex (see the previous post) so it's understandable you don't understand all of it. At the most basic level, FAH runs the official stats at foldingathome.org before publishing the data for the other sites to download. The basic site has had a number of weak spots and they're (very) gradually being fixed. If that's where your problem lies, there's nothing you can do except be patient. Once you see messages like these, there's noting you can do to uncover those results until Development gets a chance to fix things.

Code: Select all

02:39:11:WU02:FS01:FahCore returned: FINISHED_UNIT (100 = 0x64)

...
02:39:56:WU02:FS01:Server responded WORK_ACK (400)
02:39:56:WU02:FS01:Final credit estimate, 133185.00 points
02:39:56:WU02:FS01:Cleaning up
It should also be noted that the credit estimate assumes you have completed at least 10 WUs using a passkey.

Thank you Neil-B and Bruce. I want to make sure there is nothing on my part I am doing wrong. I have not received credit for the past 4 days now and my logs show I am completing WUs. Yes I am referring to Banano. I thought that the credits were awarded through Banano from FAH?

No ... FaH award points in recognition of contributions - these are managed by the stats service but have no value other than bragging rights and a personal feeling of recognition that one has contributed to science through supporting FaH - the stats system and issues around stats blockages on servers whilst important and secondary to resolving issues surrounding the actually scientific work of FaH.

Various not FaH affiliated groups/organisations provide their own rewards - which may be based on accrual of FaH points but are wholly separate from and not under any control or support or control of FaH ... These include (but are not limited to) Curecoin, Banano, and various manufacturer and vendor discount systems ... The have no formal link to FaH and and outside the remit of FaH.

Where this gets tricky is that they rely on the FaH generated stats to award/allocate their specific rewards ... when there are issues with the FaH stats system these have a knock on effect ... FaH resolves stats issues as quickly as it can given the available dev resource but from a FaH perspective the conduct and maintenance of the Science is the key priority ....

These support forums and the other channels such as discord can advise what the current situation is for FaH points - and in this thread and other it has been made clear there is an issue with at least one server (the one that manages 16927) but this is a stats issue and science/project is progressing normally ... There is also a query with regard to the one of the fields in the stats output (iirc it is the last wu received field) but this doesn't necessarilly mean the stats actually haven't been processed - in at least one case the wu status app is showing the wus have been received - the stats appear to be showing the correct wu counts/points it is just the last date recieved field not being updated properly.

I have no clue specifically which of these (maybe all) are impacting you rewards from Banano ... I have seen a post in discord that implies the banano team are in touch with the FahH team to try and resolve this - and this is probably the way to get it sorted as it is the Banano Team who award you your rewards not FaH and so it is they who need to work with the FaH team to get everythingto sync up the way they need ... at an individual level all we (as folding volunteers) can do on this forum is explain how FaH Points work, how there are sometimes delays (even quite long ones) but that from a FaH perspective these do get resolved ... we have no control/influence over the Banano Team and how they manage you rewards through their scheme.

You can always use the Official FaH Stats (linked from the top of this forum page) to see what FaH has currently processed and added to your record (please not delayed wus like the one project I have mentioned don't show here) and there is always a little lag (hours not seconds) for stats to update ... There are also a number of Fah Web Apps that can help you understand the current status of wus/your fah record available from https://apps.foldingathome.org/ of which WU Status, Recent CPUs and Bonus Status tend to be used most when checking possible issues with stats.

Neil-B, thank you very much for explaining this. I am getting more and more insight and understanding how things work.

Just to update ... from a toTOW post on discord (and verified by a number of users) it looks like the issue with date of last contribution in the stats has been resolved ... as far as I am now currently aware the only major points blockage is the 16927 project.

Yes Neil-B I did get most of my credits last night. I am still missing the 16927 as I am assuming it is still bugged.
