The maintainer has responded back, some recent changes may have broken the passkey site code. He will be able to look into this Friday

Tvm ... echoed this to discord as people have been asking/chasing for a deadline ... I indicated not before Friday and not guaranteed even then (to manage expectations)

I have tried a several times.

Is it something wrong with my mail? I am using a g-mail.
Or is ther something else i could try?

I dont really know what to do about it.

Welcome to the Forums :)

Please read the thread you have posted to ;) ... This is a known issue at the moment ... The post two before yours explains that this is going to be looked into on Friday ... Please note this doesn't mean it will actually be fixed Friday but I am sure best efforts will be made ... Until it is sorted you will need to be patience as there is no way to get a passkey until it is :(

My understanding is that sending out passkeys should be fixed now. Let us know if passkey emails are not showing up, and if not, which email service.

Good afternoon,

I saw this thread and it looks like the issue was resolved back in March. However, I seem to be having the same problem where I'm not receiving the email. I'm using Exchange Online (Office 365) for my email host. Is there any evidence of additional issues going on?

Let me know what additional information you may need.

Cheers,
Moose

No specific issues that I am aware of on the passkey site itself. But speaking from the experience of my main email account that I get through the university I recently retired from having been moved to MS's Office 365 service, that could be the problem. Check your junk folder first, I am constantly getting emails from non-junk sources moved there. This sometimes even happens after prior emails from those sources have been marked as non-junk. You may have to whitelist the email source as well, the last time I tested the passkey generator that was noreply@foldingathome.org. Basically the Office 365 site has been a recurring problem with passkeys going through for the last year or so.

Personally, since the university moved to MS solutions for email I have been shifting some to other services. But my university account is still my main one due to the address going back over 30 years and being where most people can find me. Switching over all of the accounts and registrations that use that address is a big pain.

I receive my passkey within 2 minutes to my Yahoo mail account, so it might indeed be a an issue specific to Office365. The email server doesn't appear in any blacklists.

Thanks for the replies. I've been checking my junk folder but it didn't show up there. I own the domain I'm on, so I created a rule in Exchange Online to bypass spam filtering for the domain foldingathome.org

I'll see if that works.

Let us know if that works. Some of the filtering and blocking MS does on their Office 365 email service is opaque to the end user from what I have been hearing from our campus IT staff.

I also took a look at the foldingathome.org public records via mxtoolbox.com - it doesn't look like a DMARC record is published. That might have something to do with it. I was looking at message trace yesterday and didn't see any messages getting rejected, but I'll keep digging in the meantime.

This has Nothing directly to do with Passkey issues, but I recently updated Windows to the latest public version via WindowUpdate. They made a big deal about enhanced security and, in fact, blocked a large number of what I consider essential functions, including the data path through the loopback adapter and access to Zoom and to Google Store. (Everything has to be downloaded from Microsoft Store now. After all, who uses Google Calendar when Microsoft provides Calendar and you ought to be using their products anyway. And who needs Zoom since you can use Skype.)

They really went overboard and are getting enough complaints that they're gradually unlocking a few things.
