171.67.108.17:8080 PLEASE HELP NOOB

Post by naCougar »

Ok, I am new to folding and joined a team but my wus are not getting through.
Does anyone, ANYONE, know how to delete a wu from the queue so that the rest of my finished wus can upload to other servers?
Thanks

You don't have to worry about deleting the work units you've done. You've still got space to keep on working, it's just the servers you're trying to connect to are busy are down. (click on the server status link at the top of the forum page to see for yourself)
The client will keep trying to upload the results and hopefully the people at Stanford will give the respective servers a hefty kick when they come back from their weekend respite.

Thanks, doesn't eVeryBody work on the weekend?
Spoken like a senior at a University working on a VB project all weekend!

Some do work the weekends, but if you look at the recent posts you'll see that there's lots of server problems (not too mention work unit, core, and client issues) so it depends on who's working and what's critical.

How wonderful that we are left hangin....
Thank goodness my other machines are sending wus or I would be in my Team's last place.
Maybe this project has outgrown its usefulness.
Perhaps they should have limited the number of pcs that can join?
Besides, thinking green may require turning off my computers to save energy.

From Server log
Tue Nov 11 16:20:20 PST 2008 171.64.122.136 classic VSP69 - full DOWN

and so it's been, or "reject", since then. The back up 171.67.108.17 is as a result of course busy, busy, busy.

Vijay posted this at http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=6945
"This machine (171.64.122.136) is physically down and it is late Sunday night, so our admin staff isn't in the office right now. They'll check it out Monday morning."
