7610 (Run 355, Clone 2, Gen 0) Fast Crash

Post by SomeStones »

Got this WU and immediately got as dialog box saying that FahCore_a4 had crashed. As soon as I acknowledged the problem, it restarted and crashed again.

I reset the computer and got 2 immediate crashes before nuking the WU. The next received WU was also a 7610 (159, 2, 3) but it works fine.

I noticed another 7610 failure on the forum today also.

My computer is an AMD Phenom II X4 840 running at 3.2 GHz - no overclocking. The operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, 64 bit. I'm using FAHClient 7.1.52.

Run Memtest to check for a memory stick that might be going bad.

Okay, first pass of Memtest is okay. Left it running but honestly doubt it will find any problem.

This machine has been a dedicated folder for about 15 months without any real problems. It is kept dry, cool and well fed. :-}

The WU I reported crashed immediately several times in a row but when a new 7610 WU arrived after the suspect WU was nuked, it ran flawlessly until starting Memtest.

Please also note a similar WU 7610 problem reported by JoeH this morning: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=22782 . It may just be a coincidence because Joe's WU was a different Run but it seems strange that two 7610s, Clone 2, Gen 0 were sent out about the same time and would not run.
