Project: 7030 (Run 0, Clone 887, Gen 2)

Post by inpsyght »

This work unit ran on my machine for approx 6 days ( @ 16hrs per day - cpu only)
It was definitely one of the more time consuming/high step no. work units my system has been assigned.

The work unit completed and successfully uploaded but no credit has shown up yet.
Submission date was 'November 28 01:20:12 UTC'.

See the quoted log below for any further details.

I am also concerned regarding the lack of description for this project number.
The open accountability and project descriptions are part of what led me to supporting folding@home.

Hello inpsyght, welcome to forum.

We don't typically get concerned about points for about 24 hours. This gives the project enough time to correct any occasional server outages, and have the points appropriately credited afterwards.

And this is what I see for the project description...
This project is a test of a novel means to significantly accelearate Folding@home Molecular Dynamics calculations by 100x without any additional increase in hardware. Thus, this method has great promise to push Folding@home way beyond what it can do now, although there is much work to do to test it to make sure that the results are scientifically valid and useful. You can find more information about the method by reading one of our recent papers.
Where are you "not" seeing the project description?
How to provide enough information to get helpful support
Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.

Credit should be showing in your stats now:

Hi inpsyght (team 24),
Your WU (P7030 R0 C887 G2) was added to the stats database on 2012-11-29 08:09:30 for 6765.29 points of credit.

The description should show up now that the project is back on the Project Summary after being omitted due to the work server outage.

Hey guys,
Thanks for helping to sort this out.
I've now been credited for this work unit.

I initially was looking on the stats page under project descriptions - where you enter in the project number.
Previously it would reply with a 'no information on this project available' message.
This looks like it has now been updated and is showing a proper project description for no. 7030
