core_15.fah problems... been having this for a week... huh?

Post by jaqie »

Apparently I cant even post this post, because it keeps telling me to put internet addresses in codeblocks, but when I do it still tells me to put them in codeblocks, even after I remove the internet address! I cant even type the common name for internet address....

Ive been getting this for a week. It is on PRCG 7626 (430, 2, 0)
the status has been stuck on "Update_Core" and I can't figure out how the hell to get this thing to fix itself... or work... or anything without deleting both WUs which I don't want to do... (old hat here, even contributed to genome@home, and computer hardware expert too, but not software expert!)

The url entered into my browser just gives a 404, so it's gotta be server end. still, huh?

Help?

p.s. my stats on my latest username, in case anyone is curious: http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/ ... =&u=494438

First time posters are moderated and have limitations on links to filter out spammers. The limits are lifted after a bit. Post details of your problem, though it sounds like your machine ran into the assignment server problem that happened over the weekend and has been cleared up. That is discussed here. Follow directions in this post to pause the folding slot, delete the WU that can not be processed on your ATI GPU, and you should get a WU it can process.

See: viewtopic.php?f=85&t=23185

The problem has been fixed at the server level, so what you need to do is delete the WU and get a new one. Then all will be well.

Pause folding. Go to the work folder (Start->All programs->FAHClient->Data Directory->Work) and delete folder 00. Now restart folding.

followed the directions I dug into, kinda deep in there, restarting the FAHcontrol after deleting the 00 work slot directory worked. Thank you.

edit

as said here:
viewtopic.php?p=231253#p231253

I had to restart my FAHcontrol for it to begin working. I had already tried deleting the directory before posting today.

Again, thank you. :) back to folding at full power!
