Active Processors Not Updated

Post by joeeckberg »

The Active Processors hasn't updated on my stats page:
http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/mai ... joeeckberg

I have one PC (one processor) working hard but the number remains at 0. Other stats sites show that I've finished WUs correctly/recently:
http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/ ... =&u=142634

My "Date of last work unit" in 2006 is from when I stopped for a bit. I started up again last month, and my score and WU have updated but not the active processors or date of last work unit. More Info: My most recent contribution is on a different computer, with a newly installed client, and I'm living in a different country. And yes, I've checked the username ten times.

I even joined a different group, finished a WU and it now appears on my stats page (forever, apparently). But it doesn't show a date of last work unit. How is that possible?

You may have attempted to edit the client.cfg file rather than using the -configonly option (for the Console client) or the menu (for the GUI client). This generally causes a corrupted client.cfg.

Search FAHlog.txt for the LAST time you restarted the client. About half a page later you should see the time-stamps begin and something like this:

[04:50:05] - Ask before connecting: No
[04:50:05] - User name: xxxxxxxx (Team yyy)

Does it show your FAH name and team number?

The log was corrupted as you assumed (without a team):
[03:08:30] - Ask before connecting: No
[03:08:30] - User name: joeeckberg (Team )

After -configonly option it appears to be correct:
[08:14:10] - Ask before connecting: No
[08:14:10] - User name: joeeckberg (Team 0)

I'll report back here after a WU or two when the active processors updates to confirm it works.

Thanks!

I've now completed two WU since the last post. My active processors have still not updated. The WUs are with a newly installed 6.10beta3 from March 11. I have not manually edited the config file. Also, when I restart my computer, two instances of the program opens even though I only installed it once. I'm not sure if that's related but I thought I'd mention it here. They are writing to the same log.

Too many weird things going on. I'm going to uninstall everything I can find related to F@H and start over from scratch. I'll report back (again) after a few WUs are one again finished.

I've done a full reinstall of 6.10beta3 from March 11 and completed another WU. My active processors have still not updated. Any ideas out there?

I don't show any work units returned for the user "joeeckberg"

Are you sure that you didn't enter the user name as "joeeckberg@someISP.com" ?

Please post the first 30 lines of your fahlog.txt file so we can verify some client settings to help diagnose the problem. Thanks.

How can there not be any work units? My WU number keeps going up on the stats page I listed at the start of this post.

I have definitely never entered anything other than joeeckberg. I've never added an ending like it was an email address. Here's the beginning of my log. When it first starts, that's in non-service mode. I closed that down and then started the service.

The next time the computer is starts up, you should see work automatically
continue there. Note that when this service is running, you should not try
to manually run F@H from that directory at the same time.
