display card issue after without continues the WU

Post by hkriccardo888 »

HI

I have installed display card risers on PC by extend cable connect,
sometimes the windows 10 have a issue bad connect
need manually recover, but the FAH sometimes restart
to new WU and used some minute to start the new one,
the previous WU also deleted, that is waste the resources.
Can you provide the selection on FAH client can manually order to
select continues the WU or If failure that can give us the button
the restart manually order to start new WU.
thanks

Welcome to the F@H Forum hkriccardo888,

Can you please post the log file? Ensure you include the first 100 lines which will inform us of what the system configuration is and what the client settings are. If you require guidance, please view this topic: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=26036

Considering that Windows is having issues even before you start folding, I would think that the issue would be the PCIe riser cable. If you post details about it, someone on the forum might be able to look into it.

It seems that this is the problem since all the GPU Slots are configured to run on the same GPU:

Code: Select all

12:54:09: <slot id='1' type='GPU'>
12:54:09: <opencl-index v='0'/>
12:54:09: </slot>
12:54:09: <slot id='3' type='GPU'>
12:54:09: <opencl-index v='0'/>
12:54:09: </slot>
12:54:09: <slot id='2' type='GPU'>
12:54:09: <opencl-index v='0'/>
12:54:09: </slot>
This might be the correct setting:

Code: Select all

12:54:09: <slot id='1' type='GPU'>
12:54:09: <opencl-index v='0'/>
12:54:09: </slot>
12:54:09: <slot id='3' type='GPU'>
12:54:09: <opencl-index v='1'/>
12:54:09: </slot>
12:54:09: <slot id='2' type='GPU'>
12:54:09: <opencl-index v='2'/>
12:54:09: </slot>
You can change that by:
Opening up Advanced Control (AKA FAHControl)
Clicking Configure
Navigating to the Slots tab
Clicking on the GPU Slot
Selecting Edit modifying the GPU Core Indicies
Clicking OK
Click Save

Also, the previous log files would be present here:
C:\Users\xeon e\AppData\Roaming\FAHClient\logs
