Updates thread

Postby VijayPande » Wed May 26, 2010 8:27 pm

I've started a new thread for quick tweet-like updates from the FAH team to try to give donors more details about what's going on without having to search through the whole forum. These posts will be fairly short and we'll use the blog for long ones.

We worked on vspg5v to get it back up. It is back accepting now, but may have to go down in a bit for more work.

Edit by Mod: This is a PS3 server so if your Results have not been uploading, this is probably why.

It should be back up now. It will take an hour or two for the 3rd party stats to update (there will always be a lag), but everything is back on schedule.

bigadv has been temporarily turned off for linux due to problems with the linux A3 core on bigadv work units
bigadv has been enabled for windows. Depending on the work unit availability, machines requesting bigadv may roll over to normal -advmethods.

There is some kind of generalized connection problem at Stanford. It's acknowledged in this topic but seems to apply to most (all?) servers. More information when we know something.

Edit: Apparently this has been solved. See the topic referenced above for details.
