Incorrect link to Server Status

Post by derrickmcc »

The Server Status http://fah-web.stanford.edu/serverstat.html link at the top of the Folding Forum page takes you to the old Server Status page which has been deprecated.
The link should be the same as the Server Status link on the Stats Page, to: http://fah-web.stanford.edu/pybeta/serverstat.html

Good catch! I agree.

Remind me again where they said it was deprecated... I've been gone for a month. ;)

This is a really interesting position for me, but look on http://folding.stanford.edu/English/Stats it says "Server status (old, deprecated)" for the old link.
See http://folding.typepad.com/news/2011/07 ... -page.html

I recall seeing that suggestive transitional News post back in July, i.e. their typical we're changing "soon" warning bell. PG usually does a more formal deprecation some time after such an announcement, i.e. the we're changing "now" post.

I guess they swung for the fence that first time. ;)

I have created, and generally use, a dedicated browser link to the new Server Stats page. I just checked this morning and see that the Forum link at the top of the page still points to the old stats page. The new page is now the only Server Stats page linked from the new Stanford FAH web site Stats page, although obviously the old one is still active too.

Might it be time to switch the link on the Forum page header to the new one?
