Have you all tried clearing your browse cache? Please document what browser and version to see if there is a pattern. Thanks.

P.S. The simple work around is checking the little box that says save your password. It's a support forum, not your online bank account. There is no risk involved.

Logged off, cleared the cookies, restarted Cyberfox 23.0.1 (64-bit variant of Firefox) and when I attempted to log-in, had to do the CAPTCHA again. It seems that from 7th September, I have to do the captcha every time.

W 7 handles the password- luckily I remembered what it is. IE 9, had to do CAPTCHA. This is the first time since the widespread problem a year, or more, ago. I haven't been on here for a few weeks.

I hadn't visited the forum in a while, got repeated rejection of my password, went through several "forgot password" routines. fought the CAPTCHA thing...finally it relented and got logged in. <wheew>

It looks like it is a repeat of this event: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=17216

Note, we are changing the challenge question to reduce the risk of an attack bot getting passed it as the current challenge is quite old (I'm surprised it has survived this long).

The CAPTCHA problem was NOT a hacker issue. Something was changed by our hosting company.
