Q: Table-tag in postings possible ?

Post by ChristianVirtual »

Does the current version of Forum software support tables ? It would be useful when embedding technical data like TPF or PPD in some posts if they could be inserted/visualized as table; and the width of the UI adopting to the width of the posting field. Today I have only the TAB character in code tag; looks a big off from layout point of view.

No scientific value, just UX on this board.

No.

Create the table in Google Docs and link it. Or take a picture and post it.

The phpBB community at https://www.phpbb.com/ has talked about how to insert custom codes into the standard software, so that means it's not a supported feature.

The fundamental problem with customizing the code is it has to be re-done and re-tested every time we update the software on the forum.

Ok, following 7im suggestion I added a boxplot into my iPad

Here one from my core 17 runs

Need some optical tweaks, but as a start not too bad. Man, the 8900 had quite few variation compared to later projects.

(@7im: Any more good suggestions ? )
