I've just installed the French Languages Pack(s), American English will be installed as soon as it gets validated by the phpbb translation team.

No I didn't quite understand that either, so I just installed both.

If you dig into the User Control Panel, you'll see another forum color choice. At least for now, UF seems to have left that choice open. :)

Nope, not a problem, a feature.

This forum provides a "search" function which works but has some limitations. If a newbie doesn't know about this site and they search for the right keywords in Google (or your favorite search engine) they really should be able to find the discussion on this forum. The bots which generate that information for Google (or your favorite search engine) are good things as long as they don't overload the forum. Even in the worst of times on Folding-Community.org, the bots were friendly and didn't cause any serious problems. They use guest access and since they don't log on, they do not have access to any closed discussions, nor do they leave any posts.

Now if you're talking about a spam-bot, that's another story entirely. They SHOULD be blocked from registering and posting.

The spider bots, like google, yahoo, etc, which appear in the online member list are perfectly fine. The forum software automatically categorises them as [bots] to prevent them messing up the sessions tables and a couple of other things.

The captcha should suffice to prevent spam bots from registering on the forum. If/when that starts to be bypassed, I'll add the RAC MOD back to the registration process.

One minor issue is the favicon is missing at present.

The old one was just the default phpbb favicon, but maybe someone could create a FF one. One needs doing at some point to get rid of the generic document icon. :D

It's a cookies thing. Could you login with the old forum software?

Edit: Try it now...
