"view your posts"

Post by SKeptical_Thinker »

Is there any reason that clicking "view your posts" doesn't give me a list of my posts? It appears to give me a list of the threads that I have posted to. While that is likely something that I would use, it isn't what I expected. I can get a list of my posts from the avdvance search page, so this isn't an earth-shattering issue.

It shows all topics where you posted at least one message.

If you want to find the threads you started, you need to go to the search page, and use the ésearch by athor" function.

Its just the way phpbb works. The "view your posts" link just directs to a custom parameter of the search page.

You can get to the "by post" view by clicking the link on you profile page (Search user’s posts).

So, am I the only one literal minded enough to expect that clicking on "view your posts" would show me my posts? If it said "view the threads you have contributed to" I wouldn't have thought the results to be unexpected.

No, probably not, but your question is outside the scope of this Folding Support forum. ;)

Sorry, we just rent phpBB for this forum, we don't code it. You might try asking the developers in the phpBB support forums.
