GTX750 Ti

Post by Ricorocks »

Is this still a valid folder? Will this have a short life span, usability at FAH?

I was given a 'Gateway' PC with an 'Asus P7H55-M LX mb, & it has a 300W psu. This machine has no front fan, a cpu fan & rear 92mm fan, this would be a dedicated folder, running max

Thanks
Rick

If you already have the card, it should get Work Units. My GTX 750Ti was running around 50-60K PPD before I retired it just this last week. The one I had was PCIe bus powered, though, so it may have been limited for power.

The GTX 750Ti is a Maxwell GPU, the last generation of Nvidia GPUs, it is nowhere near being unable to fold. In fact, there is no existing Nvidia project it can't fold.

I'll be installing a 750ti alongside my pascal gpu's next week. It will be a perfectly capable folder for a few years yet
