GTX 1080 low score?

Post by phuz »

Hi all - new to folding@home. I have spent hours searching and I can't seem to find an answer so I'm creating a new thread here. I have a gtx1080 i'm trying to fold with overnight on my gaming rig. The information I find online suggests I should be seeing somewhere around 800k-1m ppd with the gtx1080. I am seeing ~105k ppd.

Gtx1080 - temps during overnight fold peak @ 68c
Driver version is 378.49.
Cpu is a 3570k at 4.0ghz.
Fah client v7.4.4

Is this normal or is there something I may be doing obviously wrong? Thanks.

Did you enter a passkey into settings?

There is data that can help us help you:
1) the user name you are folding with.
2) the first 100 lines of your log will have both your hardware specifications and how you have configured the client.
3) some part of the log that includes a completed GPU WU.

However there is one hint so obvious that I am going to mention it 'blind'. if you have a Passkey and have completed 10 Work Units successfully, you will get a Quick Return Bonus. On a fast GPU like yours that may be 80% of your Points Per Day.
