"ERROR: 0: Error converting number" on FreeBSD, core B4

Hi,

I haven't contributed on my FreeBSD box for a while so I just gave it a try and got:

Code: Select all

722 [10:29:06] - Preparing to get new work unit...

This happened three times in a row (very quickly too, it seemed to fail instantly each time), then on the fourth occasion it managed to start crunching:

Code: Select all
      884 [10:29:32] Project: 10031 (Run 903, Clone 0, Gen 6)
      885 [10:29:32] Reading tar file par_all27_prot_lipid.inp

      888 [10:29:32] Reading tar file ww.psf
889 [10:29:32] Reading tar file checkpt
      890 [10:29:32] Reading tar file ww.409.pos
      891 [10:29:32] Reading tar file ww.409.vel
      892 [10:29:32] Reading tar file protomol.conf
      893 [10:29:32] Reading tar file core.xml
      894 [10:29:33] Digital signatures verified
      895 [10:29:33] Completed 0 out of 499375 steps (0%)
      896 [10:44:39] Completed 5000 out of 499375 steps (1%)

I did read the Protomol FAQ and it says some work units might end early, but this seemed to be a more fundamental error.

Welcome to the foldingforum, ahpla. Thanks for the report.

The error you reported was when you were processing Project: 10030 (Run 102, Clone 0, Gen 4), then there were two more errors with unknown WUs, then a success with Project: 10031 (Run 903, Clone 0, Gen 6)

Project: 10030 (Run 102, Clone 0, Gen 4) was reassigned and others have had trouble with it, so it's a bad WU.

Which WUs were being processed for the other two errors? (Perhaps the same one?)

Thanks for the report. I've tracked down the problem. A fix is forthcoming.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Just to confirm, the three which failed were:

Code: Select all
[10:29:05] Project: 10030 (Run 102, Clone 0, Gen 4)
[10:29:05] ERROR: 0: Error converting number '372188'

[10:29:13] Project: 10022 (Run 784, Clone 0, Gen 6)
[10:29:13] ERROR: 0: Error converting number '954842'

[10:29:23] Project: 10024 (Run 438, Clone 0, Gen 4)
