Telnet Status

Postby craigyas » Sun Feb 02, 2014 3:42 pm

Hi!

I like to use telnet to connect to my ankle bitter which i keep in my garage, now, i dont run the FAH client via telnet because sometimes the window conks out after a couple days and i have to go manually restart it....

ANYWAY

using the linux command line via telnet, how do you view the status of an already running V6 client without starting a new process? (if its even possible)

i have no problems connecting to the computer or anything, just need a command.

I don't think you can do what you want to with v6 and telnet. Try using a remote access program like team viewer or one of the vnc variants. Another alternative would be using something like hfm.net to monitor folding progress.

I believe the 'Spoilers' here http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?p=1037125478#post1037125478 will give you what you need if you are using the H folding appliance or Musky's Ubuntu guide.

You could try SSHing in and then using the watch and cat commands to monitor the v6 logs.

Have you looked at using the V7 telnet options?
