6.23 on Win 7 intel i3 crashes

Postby vanness » Fri Sep 09, 2011 11:17 pm

This has been happening for 6 months. I'm also running Boinc, but I don't think they're butting heads. I have the older intel i3 (dual core). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Please post FAHlog.txt (the startup part, the WU you were crunching and what happened to it until the next WU download.)

Personally, I would never run two distributed computing projects at the same time on the same computer. If you want to run two different projects, run one for awhile, stop that after sending work home and then start the other. One or the other will suffer when you run two and Folding@Home needs the WUs back as quickly as you can get them done because the next WU builds on the previous one. Slowing down that process slows down the program.

We'll also need a better description of the crash to be able to help ...
