Can't fold behind IPFW Firewall

Postby Vzhik » Sat Jul 14, 2012 6:53 pm

Hello.
In my network is used as a firewall and default gate FreeBSD+IPFW
Clients no longer send and receive assignments.

I usually ask for each of the servers for example
${fwcmd} add allow ip from ${InNet} to 171.64.65.60 in via ${InIf}

InNet - LocalNet, InIf - External Interface

IMHO, This operation shall permit clients to the server project, but somehow I managed to send only a job, get a new I can not - is not connected to the Assignment Servers

Why? What am I doing wrong?

I'm not familiar with your firewall, but FAH does need access to quite a number of different servers to function normally. Adding firewall exceptions for the servers you've happened to use doesn't cover the server you might need tomorrow.

The servers that are in use today are listed here. From time to time, new servers are added but that's relatively uncommon so granting exceptions for each subnet on that list will probably suffice for a long time.
