backup and restore question

Postby kuyaedz » Tue Feb 12, 2008 12:53 am

I've been working on an application that makes Folding on Linux a bit more native, and I have a question concerning backup and restore. Here is the situation:

I travel and have control over ~20 machines / week. I run folding on these machines while I am in that location and at the end of the week I archive the current work and results. When I get to the next location I install folding again and restore the backed-up data so the new machines can continue the work of the old.

Are there any issues with archiving, moving and restoring data like this? So far things seem to still be functional, but I'm wondering about the results side of things. Will the data be just as usable?
