GPU advice - Temperature and fan speed

Postby Bikerz » Sun Apr 17, 2011 9:31 am

Hi all

Folding on a gtx275. I have been told to underclock memory and core and just have shaders up high. Then keep card to 70C and not to worry about burning fan out. This seem good advice?

Cheers

I have 3 GTX 275s, just up the shaders, don't down clock anything and as for 70C up to you, they can usually handle much more than that.. I run my fans at 100%, I don't care about noise and it is very hot here.. one of these cards has been 18 months 24/7 folding no problems the other 2 are 2nd hand folders and probably have done even longer.

Current system failure, rebuilding soon.
