Welcome to foldingforum.org, Colgate.

Because you're running the V6 client and an old version of the GPU software, there are a number of GPU projects that could be folded by your GPU but they cannot be assigned to your client. (Your chances of getting GPU assignments would be significantly better if you were running the V7 Windows client.) This will probably change when GPUs are supported in native Linux but there's no ETA for that capability.

There are currently three GPU servers which may have GPU2 projects for your client.

171.64.65.103
171.67.108.11
171.67.108.21

The first server is Rejecting connections. The other two appear to be operational but they're not issuing WUs. I don' t know why. I'll contact the owner of those servers and see if he can figure it out.

Good luck! If you make progress please let us know.

I'll watch my Wine v6 client and see if it gets more WUs.

Colgate,

v7 on Linux (Ubuntu, in my case) for CPU/SMP folding is a breeze, just need to install three packages and off it goes.

BUT for GPU, AFAIK no-one has made it work. Officially it's not supposed to, and the Wine wrappers for v6 will not support v7. You're welcome to try, of course -- there's a bunch of people here who would love to see it work. There was a thread about developing new wrappers but I haven't seen anything for a while (which might be my fault, of course :? )
