Proper way to halt console client?

Postby M-x » Sat Sep 10, 2011 10:16 pm

I'm just wondering what the proper procedure is to stop folding on the SMP2 console client. Normally I'll just give the command prompt a CTRL+C. I noticed the next time I started it up, there was a line that read: "Previous termination of core was improper". Should I just close the command prompt from now on using the "X"?

Thanks

ctrl+c is correct.

"Previous termination ..." is a cosmetic error for SMP clients and really only applies to uniprocessor cores.

Thanks! That makes sense.

I also have a question about quick return bonuses. I have my SMP2 console client set up and set up my passkey about 8 WUs ago. I keep getting a lot of 7200s and those are A4 cores. Do those count towards the minimum 10 WUs needed before QRBs become active for me?

Great! One last question - Do GPU WU's count towards quick return bonuses (with a passkey set up?)

No. GPU clients do not currently participate in the QRB system.

See more info about QRB here: http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?t=10697

Thanks, I did see that thread and it was from a few years ago so I wasn't sure if it was outdated.
