QRB active?

Postby wrinvert » Sat Oct 22, 2011 8:36 am

is there anyway to tell if my passkey is getting the QRB. i had 10 failures in a row on the 10125 clients befor it shut down now i have a big adv running on another machine and no way to tell if ill get the bonus for it. do i need to fold a bunch of smps to get it working again or do the GPUs count toward this average?

help pls!

Welcome to the forum, wrinvert.

I do not believe there's a way to check if you're bonus-eligible other than waiting for a WU to finish and seeing if you got a bonus. Right now GPU WUs are not bonus-eligible, so folding them will not change your bonus status.

How many bonus-eligible WUs have you folded? If you've been folding for a while 10 bad WUs won't drop you below the 80% completion rate required for bonus eligibility.

well the bad news is i may only have 15-20 eligible wu's since i just picked up my own key. (i had been folding with a group for the chimp challenge and useing their key). the 10 i know for sure died plus i know i killed a few setting up my software properly so i have no idea how many bads vs goods i really have :-(. at this point i might be doing alot of smp's to get back on the good.

on another note i know bigadv's are 1 wu but does completeing them give you credit for 4 wu's? (not 4 wu's points but as in "4 completed eligible" wu's) i noticed on EOC that on the update a bigadv dropped it showed points for 1 wu but said 4 completed during that time.

No, bigadv get counted as 1 WU. Failed WUs get counted as returned; some of yours that failed might have been counted that update cycle.

Hence why you do 10 smp then switcch. Should tsake 3 maybe 4 days using a system thats capable of bigadv.

my issue isnt the 10 smp's its the 80% success rate. like i said above i had 10 in a row error out and countless misques settting up my software monitors(i was messing with the darn thing). i would guess its 80% of all smp wu's assigned and not just 80% of your last 10.

Yes. I believe that is correct. 80% success rate overall, and you have to get 10 to begin with.
