Low PPD on X6 1090t

Postby Stene » Fri Oct 19, 2012 12:49 pm

I started folding today with my X6 1090T but only using 2 cores. HMF says uniprocessor and I'm is sure it is with smp. I have also low PPD.
What is going on? The information behind the red is not right. I think it is the author' of the program.

Your PPD looks about right for only using 2 cores at stock speeds.

The a4 core work units can run as uniprocessor or SMP and yours is running as SMP but HFM is showing uni ... I think it's on the author's list of future changes but for version 7 only and it looks like you're using version 6:

If you go to Edit>Preferences>Web Settings in HFM you can change the ID info if EOC is tracking your stats. The program does come with the author's IDs.

If you're not on EOC yet you can turn that line off by going to Edit>Preferences>Options and uncheck the box next to Retrieve and Show EOC User Stats.

Why only two cores on a six core processor? The vast majority of points for SMP folding comes from the bonus points for quick completion and limiting the processor to 1/3 its normal capability severely limits the amount of bonus points you'll get and thereby your PPD.
