Me too. Two Macs are sitting here twiddling their digits.

"Please do not hesitate to ask for clarification if I was too terse."

Any plans to fix it?

My server message is typically:

22:22:12:WARNING: Failed to get assignment from 'assign4.stanford.edu:80': Empty work server assignment
22:22:12:ERROR: Exception: Could not get an assignment.

Are you also seeing the same message as the original poster?

No. Note that I'm on 4-core and 2-core Macs, and I'm running the v7 beta client.

PS Although please note that you'll need to be running the 6.29 client or later to get WUs right now for OSX.

For the first time (at least that I've noticed) I cannot return a unit.

Is it me, or is it Stanford? And if me what can I do to resolve this?

I'm used to there being no units to download (especially on my G4s, but I don't recall finishing a unit and being unable to return it for somewhere round 21 hours up to now.

Pande reported a server down on 1 May but I infer from that post that the problem is resolved so I'm guessing that that isn't the problem?

iBozz,

Unfortunately, the only SMP work server with units for OS X (171.64.65.54) is down with a RAID issue. That makes it impossible to send or receive new units from this server. See viewtopic.php?f=18&t=18612

I am much obliged - I missed that as I checked the Stanford News Page for information - and there was none since 1 May (at least that a technophobic me could find  ).
