Help - My stats are empty.

Post by Loeb »

When I go to my username page I get a blank page. I also do not show up on my team's page. I got a passkey from the FAH server and that email verifies my user name "Loeb". I have entered that username and passkey into the config screen in FAH Tracker V2. I have completed on whole work unit and am on my second one. What am I missing? I have completed a work unit, but it appears that my team is not getting any credit for it.

Thanks,

-Loeb

Welcome to the forum, Loeb.

How long ago did your first WU get uploaded? The stats pages only get uploaded at the top of the hour, and if your WU was submitted too close to the update it may not make it through until the update after that. Check back in a couple of hours, and it should be there. If it's not, or if it was uploaded several hours ago, you should post the log file in Code tags (need to use Full Editor) so someone can try to see if something's amiss. I'm not very familiar with the way FAHtracker interfaces with the client, but normally the client log is stored in FAHlog.txt (and FAHlog-Prev.txt for the log file before the current one). Make sure to include the portion showing the WU's upload, which should include the Project/Run/Clone/Gen number.

Please post the first page or so of your log, together with a few pages including where the completed WU was uploaded. If you're running V6, the file is called FAHlog.txt and it's found in the folder containing the rest of FAH's data. If you're running V7 on Windows, there's a link in the "all programs" page to the data directory and the file is called log.txt.

FYI, I am using "FAH GPU Tracker V2" and running one CPU

I now see where my name is anonymous and the team is 0, even though in the GUI, it appears to be set properly.
=== FAHlog 12-5 (04 39 17).txt ===

[00:01:47] - Ask before connecting: No
[00:01:47] - User name: Anonymous (Team 0)
[00:01:47] - User ID: 1536858611009B90
[00:01:47] - Machine ID: 1

=== But after restarting FAH and checking out FAHlog.txt, I now see ===

17:28:24] - Ask before connecting: No
[17:28:24] - User name: Loeb (Team 212583)
[17:28:24] - User ID: 1536858611009B90
[17:28:24] - Machine ID: 1

===
My user stats page is still blank, but I assume that after my next WU is completed, I will see my results as well as be shown on my team?

I also noticed that the client.cfg file in
C:\...\FAH_GPU_Tracker_V2\FAH GPU Tracker V2\
is not getting updated with my login/team/passkey while the one in
C:\...\FAH_GPU_Tracker_V2\FAH GPU Tracker V2\CPU\
is.. I'll try overwriting the first one with the second.

Please do not edit your configuration file. It's not really an ascii file. It should only be changed by the features inside of the client.

Yes, an hour or two after "Loeb" uploads his first result, the stats should be there.

Oops. Actually, I just copied the one that had my correct info over the generic one. I guess I'll see the results of my efforts after my next WU is completed. Fingers crossed...

Well, it happened again. I completed a second WU, but I and my team are not getting credit. More accurately, by stat page at
http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/mai ... rname=Loeb
is blank, and I (Loeb) don't appear on my team page
http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/mai ... num=212583

Here's my tracker log file after initiating a new WU. Any help would be appreciated.

There was a major network and server outage at Stanford starting Saturday evening, see this posting http://folding.typepad.com/news/2011/12 ... ord-1.html. Most servers are up, the stats servers should be back later and you should see your points updated.

This is a problem that I've had for several weeks now. I don't understand how I can have a valid username, team, and passkey, but my stat page is empty. I don't mean that my numbers are at zero. I mean that my page has no text or anything else. It is completely blank. I think that this must be a problem on the server side.

The log that you posted shows that a WU was downloaded but it doesn't show any progress. Is that still what you see in the log?

What hardware do you have?

How many hours has your computer been powered on during that time period? Does it hibernate when you're not using it? FAH can only process WUs when it's actively running and it often takes a long time to complete a WU, depending on the speed of your computer.

That log was right after I initiated a new WU. I had already completed 2 WUs.

I have a P4, 3 Ghz, running one CPU WU.

That PC stays turned on 24/7 and never hibernates/sleeps. WUs take that PC on the order of a week to complete. When it's done, the tracker indicates that it has completed a WU. I have seen that twice now. Unfortunately, I have to initiate new WUs manually.

Please provide the Project/Run/Clone/Gen numbers for the WUs that you've completed and the time/date that the results were uploaded.

OK. I'm out of town now, but will get that later this week. I assume that's in log files?

This sounds like a case of bad timing. It seems as if you submitted the first WU to Anonymous/Team 0, and the second one was submitted recently during the stats server outage. I don't believe the servers create a page for a username until something is returned under that name, so they wouldn't have created the page for the first WU and the second one hasn't gotten through yet because of the downtime.

Yes, the PRCG numbers are in the log file.

As Zagen30 said, they are in the log file. As an example of how they look, here is the line from the log you posted:
