How to get more points?

Post by lenx »

I'm currently folding on FULL with an i7 4790k and a GTX 1080 but still barely managing 100k PPD.

I read in various other topics of people w/ the 1080 getting 600k+ PPD even up to 1M!

How can i achieve this?

Install a passkey and complete more than 10 WUs.

To elaborate just a little:
Your name may not be unique, (i show three Lenx) but they will assign you a passkey that is unique. You can only win a Quick Return Bonus if you have a Passkey and the slot has done 10 WUs with at least 80% success. (With a GPU and a CPU, you will need to complete 10 of each before you get the full bonus)

The bad news is that the passkey server is down until Friday: http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/getpasskey.py

One small correction to JimboPalmer's post, you just have to complete 10 WU's total for an username and passkey combination. You do not have to complete 10 each on your CPU and GPU.

Compare the points you receive to the base points listed on the Project Summary page. If the points are greater than the base number listed there, you are getting the bonus.

All the top folders have multiple machines running under one passkey, I've used my on 3 or 4 machines without issue for years.

If you are folding as Ricorocks your last WUs were returned on 2016-09-16 and you did get a bonus then. If you've recently started folding with a new name, you'll have to re-qualify the passkey (10 more WUs with the new name).

I still don't see any recent WUs returned by Ricorocks. Once a WU is completed, the results must be uploaded. Can you post your log showing that something was uploaded recently? (See the signature of the second post in this topic.)

Hi Bruce,
I've been folding for a few years and have used 3 usernames with the same passkey. The 3rd was to go from Aurum to Aurum_ALL_1KJd683KCGdt9eV9DNUXRDxs4ZgQCEdURJ to also get FLDC etc. Is it possible to combine my 3 totals???

I will answer for Bruce, no you can not get your points combined. PG policy has always been that points once earned by a specific username and team will remain assigned to those.

It's always been the CureCoin Team and same PK. Just wanted to see myself as 101 instead of 419
Just thought I'd ask.

Won't CureCoin let you earn coins for the combined accounts?
