Do CPU and GPU now fold the same work units?

Post by johnnytoxic »

When requesting work units I'm wondering does the CPU and GPU fold the same work units now?

Are there CPU specific ones?

No, they do not fold the same WU's. There are projects that are assigned to be folded using CPU folding cores and other projects for GPU's. You can easily identify which are for which by going to the Project Summary page linked at the top of the forum. CPU projects use core A4 or A7, there are some inactive ones listed for core A3. The projects listed for the ZETA, ZETA_DEV, and OPENMM_21 cores are all assigned to be processed on GPU's

Thanks, that's nice to know. I'll make some good use of this new Ryzen 8 core chip of mine.
