CPU usage low (8%)

Post by myselfolli »

So I started folding on my root-server recently (it has essentially been doing jackall up until now) but I noticed, that the CPU usage was always sitting at about 8% max. Is there any way I can manually up this?

The software is running on my (headless) debian server, so I'll need command lines for the terminal. I'd like to crank the usage up to a max of 80% or something

Hi myselfolli, yes that should be possible.
Can you post your FahClient logfile so we can see the configuration?

Hello myselfolli, welcome to the Folding Support Forum

It still had some tasks running that started yesterday, which is why it "starts" at 80%

You are running FahCore_a7 with AVX on Linux 64bit on 4 core/8 thread CPU and all are used.

Your TPF for project 13123 is 29min / 19% = 1.5 min, so that looks good.

How do you see your CPU usage is only 8%?
